Helper mod wanted

Last year the universe decided to have everything happen at once. In case that happens this year, I am looking for a someone who will initially be a tester, but may need to assume some co-mod duties if it all goes horribly wrong (which hopefully it won't).

What I need someone to do:

• Check the collection and challenge settings


• Test making a nomination


• Test signing up


• Test submitting a work


• Approve any works that are for me (currently I just approve without looking because I want to be surprised when the collection opens)

None of these have to be a real nomination/sign up/work, they can be a test that you then delete. You would become a maintainer of the collection, which allows you to test things before they open.

What I might need someone to do:

• Post reminders/warnings about dates on Dreamwidth and Tumblr


• Post pinch hits


• Update settings in AO3 to open/close nominations/sign ups/posting

ie all of the mod things if I can't do any of them for some reason. If this happened then I would contact you first to see if you can do whatever needs doing at that point.

There is a gmail account for the ficathon, which you'd have access to. This is the email address used for the Tumblr, so you'd also have access to that. If you have a Dreamwidth account, then that would become an admin for the community. If you don't then I'll create a general one using the same email address.

Although it would be useful if you know AO3, Dreamwidth and/or Tumblr, you don't need to. AO3 is not intuitive, but there are help articles that explain things. I don't know Tumblr well, so if you do that would be a plus for posting over there.

If I run this again next year then I would ask you if you were ok to carry on again too.
